ALGIM is the industry body in NZ for local government information management staff.
Kaipara District Council [KDC] faced a daunting challenge, having returned from a period of compulsory administration in 2016. In 2019, Information Leadership partnered with KDC to create an intranet to; foster values, culture, and a sense of belonging; improve communication and collaboration and; support staff deliver exceptional customer experiences to citizens and ratepayers.
KDC were in the middle of a digital transformation programme implementing Microsoft 365 when the Covid-19 lockdown hit. Their investment in M365 for content services put them in great shape to leverage the platform for the remote working challenges.
