Building AI Teams Roadshow Brings Insights & Strategies to Kiwi IT Leaders

Artificial intelligence is accelerating at an unprecedented pace – but who will steer the future of New Zealand’s IT workforce?

That question is at the center of the upcoming Building AI Teams: The Future of IT Leadership Roadshow, set to visit Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin this September. The event aims to equip IT leaders with the insights, strategies, and tools needed to build AI-ready teams and guide organisations through the next wave of technological change.

The programme features:

  • Exclusive market intelligence from the Absolute IT team, drawing on its latest Job Market Report and IT Salary & Benefits Guide to reveal shifting workforce dynamics, in-demand skills, and trends shaping New Zealand’s IT sector.

  • AI foundations with Information Leadership's Mark Watson, who will separate hype from reality and outline the technical groundwork required for effective AI adoption.

  • Panel discussion with peers and experts, exploring what it takes to create future-ready teams – from capability development and system design to practical leadership strategies.

Each event will give attendees clear, actionable insights without the pressure of a sales pitch. “This is about preparing IT leaders to make informed decisions as AI transforms the workforce,” Mark Watson said.

The roadshow will run from 4:00–6:30pm across three cities:

  • Wellington – 8 September 2025 | register

  • Christchurch – 16 September 2025 | register

  • Dunedin – 17 September 2025 | register

Attendance is free, but spaces are limited.
