Beginnings
Information Leadership was formed by Sarah Heal and Grant Margison in 2004. Sarah and Grant remain active in leading the business as well as conference presentations and workshops.
Their book on information management, "Flapping to Flying: Getting value not Grief from Information Technology" articulates our user centered philosophy for information and knowledge management. The book's models are regularly used in our consulting assignments and implementations
Today
We have grown to become New Zealand's most respected information and knowledge management consultancy. Over the last seven years we have worked with over 150 organisations in New Zealand and Australia on strategy, reviews, implementation and design assignments.

Our multi-displinary team includes experts across information and knowledge management. Many of our team are from real-world corporate roles, giving us a grounding in practical solutions - from strategy, to planning, implementation and business-as-usual execution.

We are one of only two NZ organisations to attain Microsoft SharePoint Elite Certification, with six of our people passing examinations and attending in depth workshop sessions with Microsoft. |

We have recognised and proven expertise in recordkeeping and PRA compliance. This includes developing and delivering Archives NZ public PRA compliance training for the last three years. |

We have done strategy, design and implementation assignments in the bulk of EDRMS and ECM systems used in News Zealand, including Dataworks, Hummingbird (Livelink), Objective, SharePoint, TRIM. |

iWorkplace is our methodology, training iLabs and products for extending SharePoint for PRA compliance, document management, intranets and specific information and knowledge management solutions. The emphasis is on helping organisations get off to a sound start, and then giving them the vision, tools and skills to progressively roll-out SharePoint to meet their business drivers. |
